Recreational opportunities for all seasons are unmatched anywhere else. Performing and visual arts, traditional crafts and collectible antiques, museums and historic sites are within easy reach everywhere.
Eastern Maine ranges from the spectacular Atlantic Coast to the shores of Moosehead Lake and the slopes of Mount Katahdin and the Appalachian Trail.
From rafting on the Penobscot River and canoeing the whitewater rapids to hiking in the wilderness and skiing cross-country or downhill, golfing on rolling green courses or ice fishing in the middle of winter - or simply watching the sunset on the back porch - again and again it becomes dramatically evident that where we work and play resides among the world's most impressive natural resources.
